The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index fell 0.3% to 3,144.38.
Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (AREIT SP): Singapore’s biggest industrial property trust said the amount available for its dividend payout in the year ended March 31 rose 5.6% to $248 million from a year earlier. The stock fell 0.5% to $1.97.
CapitaLand (CAPL SP), CapitaCommercial Trust (CCT SP): Southeast Asia’s biggest developer and its commercial property trust will spend about $1.4 billion developing a downtown Singapore office tower at its Market Street Car Park site. CapitaCommercial will hold 40% of the venture, which is expected to generate a yield exceeding 6%. The trust said separately its first-quarter distributable income for dividend payouts fell 4.1% to $52.1 million. CapitaLand lost 0.9% to $3.38. CapitaCommercial dropped 0.7% to $1.42.
Qian Hu Corp. (QIAN SP): The supplier of ornamental fish said net income for the three months ended March 31 fell 29% to $1 million from a year earlier. The stock was unchanged at 12 cents.
Sakae Holdings (SAKAE SP): The owner and operator of restaurants said it has named Voon Sze Yin as the company’s chief financial officer. The stock surged 8.1% to 20 cents.
Singapore Exchange (SGX SP): The operator of the city-state’s securities and derivatives markets said third-quarter profit fell 10% to $67 million on costs linked to its failed attempt to buy Australia’s ASX. Singapore Exchange declined 0.9% to $8.08.
