Apr 27: Asiatravel.com, Ho Bee, Memtech

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index fell 0.5% to 3,171.83.

Asiatravel.com Holdings (AST SP): The provider of online hotel and travel reservations said its unit SH Tour Pte will discontinue its loss-making business of providing airport transfer and sightseeing tour arrangements. The stock was unchanged at 38 cents.

Ho Bee Investment (HOBEE SP): The Singapore-based property developer said first-quarter net income increased 31% to $54.5 million. Its shares slipped 1.4% to $1.46.

Mapletree Commercial Trust (MCT SP): The owner of properties including Singapore’s VivoCity shopping mall will start trading this afternoon. The company, which is partly owned by Temasek Holdings Pte, raised $893.2 million selling securities at 88 cents each in its initial share sale.

Memtech International (MTEC SP): The supplier of rubber and plastic keypads used in mobile phones and automobiles said first-quarter net income increased to US$2.7 million ($3.3 million) from US$1 million. Memtech climbed 3.5% to 15 cents.
