China Animal Healthcare says net profit for the three months ending March 31 (1Q2011) was up 59.2% to RMB 58.3 million ($11 million) from RMB 36.6 million in 1Q2010. Revenue grew 14% to RMB 131.3 million from RMB 115.2 million boosted by a 95.3% surge in sales of biological drugs to RMB 23.6 million in 1Q. Sale of swine fever vaccines and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) vaccines accounted for RMB 13.4 million in the quarter compared to RMB 5.6 million in 1Q2010.
