China to give Singapore access to more services before neighbours

China will allow Singapore access to more of its services industries ahead of other Southeast Asian nations, according to a statement from the island’s government today.

Singapore-based companies will “find it easier” to provide urban and suburban transportation services and training programs in fields such as beauty treatment and cooking in China, according to the statement.

Bilateral trade between the two countries rose 15.4% in the first five months of the year, Zhang Zhijun, China’s senior vice minister for foreign affairs, said in Singapore today.
