JetStar to invest $608m in Singapore hub, adds aircraft

Budget airline JetStar, a unit of Qantas (QAN.AX), plans to invest US$500 million ($608 million) at its Singapore hub, partly by adding 7 aircraft, its chief executive Bruce Buchanan said on Friday.

The carrier said in a statement that it will put 5 new Airbus (EAD.PA) A320 single aisle aircraft and an additional 2 wide-body Airbus A330 planes at the Singapore operation to support its expansion.
