The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading today. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index yesterday advanced 1.3% to 3,120.44.
City Spring Infrastructure Trust (CITY SP): The supplier of gas and owner of a desalination plant in Singapore said it plans to raise $210.2 million by selling 539 million new shares to existing shareholders at 39 cents apiece. Temasek Holdings Pte, the utility company’s biggest shareholder, is committed to buy 85% of the shares on offer. City Spring lost 0.9% to 53.5 cents.
Nera Telecommunications (NERT SP): The supplier of wireless equipment to the telecommunications industry said it won a contract, valued at US$4.1 million ($5 million), from a phone company in the Middle East. Nera was unchanged at 37 cents.
Singapore Telecommunications (ST SP): Southeast Asia’s biggest phone company received a $3.7 billion of loans to finance general corporate purposes. SingTel, as the company known, gained 2.3% to $3.16.
United Engineers (UEM SP): The engineering company and property developer said it got term loan facilities of $556 million to finance the construction of a residential condominium. The stock added 0.5% to $2.18.
