Jul 20: Anwell, Ascendas REIT, Keppel T&T

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading today. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index gained 0.6% to 3,096.12.

Commodity suppliers: The Thomson Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index, which tracks prices of 19 commodities from copper to corn, added 0.8% in New York yesterday. Noble Group (NOBL SP), a Hong Kong-based supplier of energy, food and mining commodities, climbed 3.5% to $1.795. Olam International (OLAM SP), a Singapore-based supplier of agricultural commodities, rose 2% to $2.53.

Anwell Technologies (ANW SP): The Hong Kong-based maker of solar modules said its Sungen International unit won a contract valued at US$20 million ($24 million) to supply equipment to a solar farm in India. Anwell dropped 9.9% to 32 cents.

Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust
(AREIT SP): Singapore’s biggest industrial property trust said it will develop Unilever Four Acres Singapore, a recreational and training facility, for Unilever Plc at an estimated development cost of $32.3 million, excluding the cost of land. The shares fell 1.4% to $2.11.

Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (KPTT SP): The provider of logistics services and operator of data centers said first-half net profit increased 19% to $31.6 million from a year earlier. The stock was unchanged at $1.37.
