Nestle says it's holding preliminary discussions with Hsu Fu Chi

Nestle SA said it’s in preliminary talks with Hsu Fu Chi International. The Swiss company commented in an e-mailed statement, without saying what the talks were about.

Hsu Fu Chi, China’s biggest confectioner by market value, said earlier that it’s in talks to be acquired by potential suitors including Nestle. That would be the largest overseas purchase of a Chinese company.
