Singapore expects 12 million to 13 million tourists to visit the city-state this year compared with 11.6 million in 2010, according to S. Iswaran, the country’s second minister for trade and industry.
Tourism receipts are forecast to rise to $22 billion to $23 billion this year from about $18.9 billion in 2010, Iswaran said in Singapore today. Last year, visitor arrivals grew 20 percent while receipts increased by 50% on year, he said.
