Tiger Airways falls on Australia woes

Shares of Singapore’s budget carrier Tiger Airways (TAHL.SI) plunged as much as 16% to its record low on Monday after its Australian operations were grounded by authorities there.

At 9:02 a.m., shares of Tiger Airways were 13.5% lower at $1.03 with over 2 million shares changing hands.

Tiger listed in Singapore in early 2010.
 
Australia’s airline safety regulator grounded Tiger’s Australian operations over “serious” safety concerns during the weekend.
