Singapore Technologies Engineering (STEG.SI), the world's largest aircraft repair firm, said on Tuesday its second quarter net profit rose 5%, helped by higher earnings from its aerospace and marine businesses.
ST Engineering's net profit for the three months ended June was $130.5 million, up from $124 million in the year ago period, it said in a statement. ST Engineering, which also sells arms and armaments, had an order book of $10.8 billion at the end of June, of which about $2.3 billion is expected to be delivered in the second half of the year.
The company also said it expects to see higher profit before taxes in the second half of the year compared to the first half.
