Sept 16: Boustead, Ezra, Golden-Agri, Noble:

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading today. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index gained 1% to 2,765.95.

Commodity suppliers: The Thomson Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index, which tracks prices of 19 commodities from copper to corn, fell 0.5% in New York yesterday. Noble Group (NOBL SP), a Hong Kong-based supplier of energy, food and mining commodities, was unchanged at $1.55. Olam International (OLAM SP), a Singapore-based supplier of agricultural commodities, rose 3.8% to $2.46.

Boustead Singapore (BOCS SP): The investment holding company said its unit won a $18 million contract to design and build a chocolate processing facility to be located in Singapore. The stock rose 0.6% to 86 cents.

Ezra Holdings (EZRA SP): The offshore support and marine services company said no decision has been made on proposed securities issue, in an address to a recent media report that the company has “canned its proposed issue of perpetual bonds.” The stock was unchanged at 92.5 cents.

Golden-Agri Resources (GGR SP): The palm-oil producer’s unit said food company Nestle SA will resume palm-oil purchases from the company. The stock declined 0.8% to 66.5 cents.

PEC (PEC SP): The engineering services provider to oil and gas industries said it has won a maintenance and repair services contract, effective for five years. The stock gained 1.3% to 78.5 cents.
