The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading today. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index gained 0.9% to 2,780.84.
Commodity suppliers: The Thomson Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index, which tracks prices of 19 commodities from copper to corn, rose 0.4% in New York yesterday, its first advance in five days.
Noble Group (NOBL SP), a Hong Kong-based supplier of energy, food and mining commodities, advanced 4% to $1.58. Olam International (OLAM SP), a Singapore-based supplier of agricultural commodities, added 0.4% to $2.51.
Advanced Holdings (ADV SP): The supplier of equipment to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries said it won contracts, valued at $16.8 million, from customers in China, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Singapore. The stock jumped 7% to 15.3 cents when it last traded in Sept. 19.
CNA Group (CNA SP): The supplier of building-automation systems said it won contracts, valued $18.6 million, from customers in China, Singapore and Vietnam. CNA gained 2.5% to 16.7 cents when it last traded on Sept. 8.
G.K. Goh Holdings (GKG SP): The financial services provider said it agreed to sell its property near the central business district for $32.8 million. The stock fell 2.3% to 64.5 cents when it last traded on Sept. 19.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage (JCNC SP): PT Astra International (ASII IJ), which is 50.1% owned by Jardine Cycle & Carriage, said Indonesia’s domestic vehicle sales declined to 73,279 units in August from 89,056 units in July. Jardine Cycle & Carriage, a motor distributor that gets about 89% sales from Indonesia, was unchanged at $41.68.
