Budget carrier Tiger Airways says the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Philippines has received a letter of complaint suggesting the carrier’s suspension in Australia in July raises similar questions about its operations in the Philippines.
Tiger Air says the complaint is without merit as the two subsidiaries carry separate Air Operator's Certificates and are operated separately.
Meanwhile, in another SGX press release, Tiger also says it has been informed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) that the latter had received a complaint against Tiger Airways Australia Pty. Ltd. for sending out a marketing email containing certain alleged inaccuracies to its subscriber customers.
Tiger Air says is in consultation with the ACCC to resolve the issue.
