Tiger carried 15% less passengers in Sept compared to a year ago

Tiger Airways says a total of 5.9 million passengers flew with Tiger Airways for the 12 months from October 2010 to September 2011, an increase of 6% over the 5.6 million passengers in the preceding 12 months.

Average load factor was 85%, down 1 percentage point for the 12-month period to September 2011 compared to the previous 12 months.

For the month of September 2011 alone, Tiger Airways carried 395,000 passengers, a 15% decrease compared to the same month last year. The average load factor across Asia and Australia for the month was 78%, down from 87% in September 2010.
