Singapore Air to start low-cost unit called scoot with 4 planes

Singapore Airlines will start a new low-cost carrier called Scoot, which will operate four Boeing Co. 777-200 aircraft on medium- to long-haul routes beginning in the middle of 2012, reported Bloomberg.
