PSA International Pte., the port operator, said the amount of containers handled at its port projects worldwide increased 5.6% in 2011, with record volume, reported Reuters.
The company handled 57.09 million 20-foot equivalent units of containers last year, it said in a statement dated yesterday on its website.
Volume in Singapore rose 6.1% to 29.37 million units, it said.
