Shares of Singapore semiconductor firm STATS ChipPAC (STTS.SI) jumped as much as 7% on Friday after it started building a factory in Singapore and said it expects to invest an additional US$220 million ($284 million) in the city-state over the next few years.
At 10:40 a.m., STATS ChipPAC shares were up 5.8% at $0.455 on a volume of 411,000 shares, 2.2 times the average daily volume in the last 30 days.
