STI increases 1.8% to 2,791.54 at closing
Straits Times Index advanced 1.8% to 2,791.54, its highest close since Nov. 16. The gauge climbed 2.8% this week, its second straight weekly advance. All but three stocks advanced in the 30-member gauge.
