Singapore's inflation slowed to eight-month low in January

The consumer price index rose 4.8% in January from a year earlier, the Department of Statistics said in a statement today. That was higher than the median estimate of 15 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News for a 4.7% gain. Inflation was 5.5% in December, according to previously reported data.
