StarHub posts 15% rise in 4Q net profit to $92.6m

StarHub said operating revenue for the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2011 rose 10% to $612.6 million compared to $559 million a year ago.

Net profit after tax was $92.6 million, an increase of 15% from a year ago. On a full-year basis, net profit after tax increased 20%.

Cash capital expenditure was at $116.8 million for the quarter or 9% higher compared to a year ago due to the expansion and enhancement of its existing network infrastructure, and set-top boxes for the pay TV business.

On a full-year basis, it was 9% lower.
