Citi today announced the appointment of Han Kwee Juan as Chief Executive Officer and Country Business Manager of Citibank Singapore with immediate effect.
Han’s appointment comes six months after he was appointed Head of Retail Banking in August last year, when he took responsibility for the retail banking operations including wealth management, the Citigold Private Client, Citigold and Citibanking segments and the branch and ATM distribution network.
Han replaces Anil Wadhwani, who was recently appointed as Head of Cards and Personal Loans for Citi Asia Pacific. In his new role, Han will have direct responsibility for Citi’s consumer banking business in Singapore.
A Singapore citizen, Han is a career Citibanker with more than 20 years of banking experience. He began his career with Citi Private Bank as a Summer Intern in 1990 and moved on to a Management Associate role in 1991 with the Markets business. Since then, he has successfully run businesses in a variety of roles including Head of Global Cash and Trade and Head of Global Relationship Banking Singapore. As part of his responsibilities in Global Relationship Banking, he also managed the business that covers the overall Asia Pacific relationships of global multi-national companies with regional headquarters in Singapore.
