STX OSV Holdings said it has secured a NOK650 million ($143 million) contract for the design and construction of one offshore subsea construction vessel for DOF.
To be built according to OSCV 11 design, the vessel measures 121 metres with a beam of 22 metres and will be developed by STX OSV in Ålesund, Norway. It will also feature the new moon pool concept from STX OSV.
STX OSV Søviknes in Norway will deliver the vessel in 2Q 2013. The hull of the vessel will be delivered from STX OSV Tulcea in Romania.
