Jun 7: Koon Holdings, United Envirotech, Sembcorp Industries

Asian stocks climbed, with the benchmark regional gauge heading for its biggest three-day gain this year, as global policy makers signaled they may take steps to stimulate economic growth.

Stocks in Singapore closed 1.8% higher on Wednesday following overnight gains on Wall Street. The Straits Times Index rose 48.52 points to end at 2,760.83. Volume was 1.24 billion shares. Gainers led losers 294 to 75.

Koon Holdings on Wednesday said it has secured a RM12 million ($4.9 million) new infrastructure contract for the supply and installation of shore protection works at Independent Deepwater Petroleum Terminals at Pengerang, Johor, Malaysia.

United Envirotech announced on Wednesday its subsidiary has been awarded a 104 million yuan ($21 million) engineering procurement and construction (EPC) project in China's Liaoning province.

Sembcorp Industries on Wednesday said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp (China) Holding Co, has entered into a 95:5 joint venture to build, own and operate an industrial wastewater treatment plant in China.
