Mainboard-listed Sunpower Group, the China-based heat transfer technology specialist, has signed a RMB55.1 million ($10.8 million) contract, through the group’s subsidiary, Nanjing Shengnuo Heat Pipe Co., to provide four sets of waste heat boiler systems to Shanghai-listed steel producer Xining Special Steel Co.
This contract was signed with Beijing Huatai Runda Energy Technology Co., which is the EPC service supplier for Xinning’s waste heat recovery project.
These energy-recycling systems will be used to recover the waste heat of the flue gas released from the steelmaking electric furnace, whereby the steam generated from the high-temperature flue gas will be piped back as energy to other production lines.
