Oct 24: Osim, OKP, DeClout, Ascott REIT, GLP

Singapore stocks may fall on concerns the global economic slowdown is crimping corporate earnings.

On Tuesday, the ST index ended 5.26 points higher at 3,050.93 on a trading volume of 1.71 billion shares. However there were 167 gainers against 244 losers by the end of the session. Here are some stocks and factors to watch:

Osim International registered a 49% increase in net profit to $19.58 million for the three months ended Sept 30. Revenue rose to $142.3 million in Q3, up from $123.6 million last year.

OKP Holdings posted a 50.2% decline in third quarter 2012 profit to $2.43 million from a year ago. Revenue in the quarter climbed 11.8% to $28.48 million.

Cloud and IT services provider, DeClout, said its initial public offering (IPO) of 31 million new shares at 25 cents apiece was fully placed out.

Distributable income at Ascott Residence Trust in the third quarter grew 1% to $25.6 million, compared with a year ago. This came on the back on a 6 per cent growth in revenue to $77.4 million in that period.

Mapletree Industrial Trust saw distributable income jump 18.4% to $36.9 million for the three months ended September, compared with a year ago.

Global Logistic Properties said its newly completed GLP Park Xi'an Hi-tech in Northwest China is 100% leased, with two new leases secured recently.
