Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund's chairman urges shareholders to vote down ...

Heng Chiang Meng, the chairman of Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund (MIIF), has wrote an open letter to shareholders urging them to follow its board recommendation and vote down the resolutions at next week's special general meeting (SGM).

On Nov 7, a group of shareholders holding 10.27% of MIIF shares had asked for the SGM to expand the maximum size of the board to nine from the current five, and to appoint three of its nominees as directors.

The nominees are Christopher Brader, Nicholas Paris and Miles Staude.

The first resolution is to increase the maximum number of directors to nine, while the remaining three involve placing its three selected nominees on the board immediately if the votes pass.
