OKP Holdings, the infrastructure and civil engineering firm, has been awarded a $39.8 million contract for the construction of Seletar Airport’s east (north) aircraft parking apron, associated taxiways and ancillary works.
The contract, the second largest secured in FY2012, boosts the group’s order book to $385.9 million. The contract was secured by wholly-owned subsidiary Or Kim Peow Contractors and awarded by Changi Airport Group (Singapore). Work is scheduled to start on 1 November 2012 and is targeted to complete by 11 December 2014.
Commenting on the contract win, Group Managing Director, Or Toh Wat, “Our large fleet of plant and machinery has provided us with the capacity to support large-scale construction projects, while our specialised team has given our customers the assurance that our projects are well managed and executed. Since 2004, we have participated in airport runway and taxiway projects, and we are proud to be awarded the contract by CAG.”
