Dec 11: SC Global, Tiger Airways, Gaylin, CapitaLand

Singapore share prices ended up 0.2% on Monday. The blue-chip Straits Times Index rose 7.23 points to end at 3,114.34. The index even hit an intraday high of 3,139, a 16-month high. Here are some stocks and factors to watch this Tuesday morning:

Property developer SC Global said its chief executive officer Simon Cheong bought 4.7 million shares at $1.80 each,raising his stake in the company to 59.72% from 58.58%. Last week, Cheong launched a plan to privatise SC Global in a deal worth about $745 million.
 

Budget carrier Tiger Airways said it carried 628,000 passengers in November, 56% more than a year ago. Its passenger load factor was up 8 percentage points in the same period.

Offshore services firm Gaylin Holdings said its second quarter net profit jumped 80.5 percent to $3.2 million from a year ago, boosted by higher revenue.

CapitaLand’s wholly owned service residence arm, The Ascott Limited, has bagged a management contract for its first Ascott-branded service residence in Surabaya, Indonesia. The 32-storey Ascott Waterplace Surabaya will offer 181 apartments when it opens in 2014.
