Keppel Fels, the rigbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore and Marine, will build two KFELS B-Class proprietary jack-up rigs worth US$420 million ($513 million) for a subsidiary of Mexico’s national oil company, Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
Both rigs are scheduled to be delivered to Pemex Exploracion y Produccion in the first quarter of 2015 from the Keppel Fels Singapore yard.
