Cordlife Group, the cord blood and tissue banking service provider, said wholly-owned subsidiary Cordlife Medical Philippines, Inc. officially launched its newest service, umbilical cord tissue banking in the Philippines.
The offering allows expectant parents to store their newborn’s umbilical cord, and the stem cells it contains, for potential use in future therapeutic applications.
Cordlife Medical Philippines was first established in Jan 2006 as a marketing office. In 2010, Cordlife Medical Philippines opened the country’s first and only ISO certified cord blood processing and storage facility which can store 20,000 cord blood units in Quezon City.
