Jardine Strategic Holdings has reported that in the six months ended 30th June 2013 underlying earnings were up 7% to US$819 million ($1.05 billion).
The company says that there were good results from Hongkong Land and Mandarin Oriental and earnings from Astra and Dairy Farm were lower.
Sir Henry Keswick, the chairman, said: "The group's businesses are experiencing challenging conditions in a number of markets, although most have adapted well and are trading satisfactorily. Compared with 2012 the full-year performance of the Group is expected to be broadly unchanged."
The interim dividend has been increased by 7%.
