Singapore shares closed steady on Tuesday. The benchmark ST Index added 3.96 points, or 0.12%, at 3,245.56 on turnover of $670.1 million. Here are some stocks that could move the market this Wednesday morning:
SingTel has been fined a record-breaking $6 million for the fire at its Bukit Panjang exchange facility in October last year, which disrupted services for homes and businesses across the island.
Sembcorp Industries reported a 4.5% increase in first-quarter net profit to $185 million for the three months ended March 31, 2014, up from $177 million a year ago.
Eu Yan Sang International posted a 4% rise in earnings of $8.8 million for the 3Q2014 ended March, mainly contributed by most markets and also a result of higher same store sales in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia.
Osim International said net profit rose to $28.8 million for the three months ended March. That was in line with a 14.6% climb in revenue to $172.6 million.
