Sep 8: Ley Choon, Sim Lian, TEE International

The Straits Times Index (STI) on Friday ended 4.61 points or 0.14% lower to 3,341.73, taking the year-to-date performance to +5.59%. The top active stocks were OCBC Bank (+1.04%), UOB (-1.00%), DBS (-0.11%), Global Logistic (-1.02%) and SingTel (-0.51%). Here are some stocks and factors that could move the market this Monday morning:

Ley Choon Constructions and Engineering said it secured a contract of $16.8 million (from PowerGas to lay gas transmission pipelines from Woodlands Avenue 10 to Senoko Road.

CEO of Sim Lian Group Kuik Sin Pin acquired 251,000 shares on the open maket at $223,390 on Sep 5 to raise his direct stake in the company to 1.26% or 12.7 million shares.

TEE International said it won another $73 million worth of contracts from Changi Airport Group for works on a fixed gangway and air-conditioning works at Tampines Town Hub for People’s Association. This brings up its total outstanding order book to about $493 million.
