AusGroup subsidiary AGC Industries Pty Ltd (AGC), the fabrication, construction, manufacturing, maintenance and scaffolding services company, said it signed a A$48 million ($62.7 million) contract to carry out structural, mechanical and piping works for the inflow circuit of the plant the Jimblebar Project for BHP Billiton Iron Ore.
The Jimblebar Site is an iron ore mine located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 39 kilometres east of Newman AGC is proud to be selected as the contractor for works on this expansion project and the opportunity to further extend AGC’s long standing relationship with its client.
Laurie Barlow, CEO of AusGroup, said, “This contract will further strengthen the ongoing successful relationship. We continue to demonstrate our ability to safely deliver on construction projects drawing on our expertise and experience in the market with services from structural, mechanical, and piping installation to fabrication, scaffolding, insulation and painting”
With this contract award, AusGroup’s order book today stands at $549 million.
