Heineken offers $5.1b to F&N for APB assets

Heineken NV has offeried $5.1 billion to Fraser & Neave for Asia Pacific Breweries.

Heineken will pay $50 per share for F&N’s stake in APB, and $163 million for its share in Asia Pacific Investment Private, the Amsterdam-based company said in a statement.

Heineken owns a 42% stake in Asia Pacific Breweries, the maker of Tiger beer. Fraser & Neave owns 40%.

Thai Beverage Pcl this week agreed to pay US$2.78 billion ($2.2 billion) for Fraser & Neave’s shares held by Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. and its partners.
