Keppel FMO, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Integrated Engineering, has been awarded a five-year maintenance contract by Changi Airport Group (CAG), starting 1 August 2012. The contract covers the facilities management services for the mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems in Terminal 2 of Singapore Changi Airport.
Keppel Integrated Engineering Limited (KIE) is the environmental technology and engineering division of Keppel Corporation.
Keppel FMO will provide breakdown repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance services.
Keppel FMO is the only Singapore-based facilities management company that provides airport maintenance to foreign airports. Its portfolio includes the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, China’s second busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic, and the Indira Ghandi International Airport in Delhi, India’s busiest airport.
Other than airports, in the Singapore healthcare sector, Keppel FMO manages six hospitals, five of which are accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI). JCI accredited hospitals are internationally-recognised providers of quality healthcare and patient safety. Keppel FMO’s portfolio also includes transportation systems, educational institutions, government buildings and commercial buildings.
The contract is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of Keppel Corp for the current financial year.
