Pacific Healthcare Holdings said the company and its subsidiary, Pacific Healthcare Specialist Services (PHSS), have been served with a writ of summons issued in the High Court of Singapore on 30 July 2012.
Pacific Healthcare said the writ of summons names Kwan Benny Ahadi, a non-independent non-executive director, the company and PHSS as the defendants.
The claim against the Kwan is for alleged sexual harassment of the plaintiff at the workplace from September 2011 to May 2012.
The claim against the company and PHSS is for general and special damages for alleged breaches of fiduciary duties and duty of care owed to the plaintiff.
Pacific Healthcare and PHSS have appointed legal counsel, and the company’s Audit Committee has been actively investigating the allegations since it was brought to their attention.
