The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 5.77 points higher or +0.17% to 3,305.20, taking the year-to-date performance to +4.43%. Supermarket group Sheng Siong intends to purchase a three-storey HDB commercial property in Tampines Central for $65 million, it said in a statement on Monday.
Share in Blumont Group shot up 43% in heavy volume on Monday. The counter closed at 5.3 cents, up 1.6 cents, with almost 220 million shares traded. It was the most actively traded stock.
OCBC Bank has opened a sub-branch at the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. It is located at the Shanghai International Trust and Trade Tower.
Ley Choon Group Holdings has won contracts worth a total of $20.4 million by the PUB, which will increase its order book to over $200 million.
SGX has issued a trade wit caution on China Environment. This is because of a substantial increase in the industrial waste treatment solutions provider’s share trading volume last Friday. China Environment however says it is not aware of any reasons that could explain the sudden spike in activity.
