Jun 4: CapitaMalls Asia, SGX, Ley Choon

The Straits Times Index (STI) ended -5.57 points lower or -0.17% to 3,296.67, taking the year-to-date performance to +4.16%. The top active stocks were Noble (+1.79%), Ascendas REIT (-0.83%), DBS (+0.36%), HanKore Environment (-6.72%) and CapitaMalls Asia (-0.42%). Here are some stocks to watch this Wednesday morning:

Capitaland on Tuesday said its wholly-owned subsidiary Sound Investment Holdings and its concert parties have on Monday received valid acceptances amounting to 3.46 billion shares, representing 88.7% of the issued share capital of CapitaMalls Asia.

The volume of iron ore derivatives on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) reached a record high of 50.2 million tonnes in May when the price of the raw material fell below US$100 a tonne for the first time since September 2012, the exchange said on Tuesday.

Ley Choon Group Holdings, the provider of underground utilities construction and road works, won its maiden contract in Sri Lanka for the rehabilitation of 10 km of sewer lines and assessment of 125 km of sewer lines within Colombo Municipal Council Area at a contract value of $38.2 million.
