QT Vascular announced the clearance of its Chocolate PTCA Balloon Catheter by the United States Food and Drug Administration.
The balloon catheter is used to treat coronary heart disease, the most common form of cardiovascular disease and the No. 1 cause of death in the United States and Europe.
It is for the balloon dilation of the coronary artery or for bypass graft stenosis to improve myocardial perfusion.
Dr Eitan Konstantino, CEO of QT Vascular, says the coronary business is an important element of the company’s 2015 growth.
He looks forward to working closely with physicians to generate clinical data and serve a larger patient population.
