Singapore Airlines said systemwide passenger carriage (measured in revenue passenger kilometers) in June decreased 1.4% against a 1.3% capacity reduction (measured in available seat kilometres). This resulted in a constant passenger load factor (PLF) of 81.5%. The number of passengers carried increased by 0.9% year-on-year to 1.6 million.
First Real Estate Investment Trust announced a distribution per unit (DPU) of 2.00 cents for the second quarter ended 30 June 2014 (2Q 2014), representing a 8.1% increase over the same period of the preceding year.
King Wan Corporation announced it has secured five new mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects in Singapore during the period from May 2014 to July 2014, worth a total of $25.5 million.
Vard Holdings, one of the global shipbuilders of specialised vessels, announced that it has secured a contract for the design and construction of one Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) for E.R. Offshore. No mention was made of the value of the contract.
