Mapletree Commercial Trust, the owner of properties including Singapore’s VivoCity shopping mall, said its portfolio may increase to 6.9 million square feet if it buys more assets from its parent company.
The trust has the first right of refusal for some of its parent’s assets. Mapletree Commercial also said it has a pipeline of 5.1 million square feet of space for rent, according to Amy Ng, the chief executive officer of the trust’s management company.
