TPV Technology said it plans to take over and “restructure” Royal Philips Electronics NV’s television business as part of joint-venture agreement.
The TV venture may be completed as soon as year-end, Shane Tyau, director of corporate finance at TPV, said by phone from Hong Kong today. Philips employs about 4,000 people at its TV operations, Tyau said.
