Ju; 27: Osim, SATS, ST Engineering, Tiger Air

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading today. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index gained 0.5 percent to 3,186.57.

CWT (CWT SP): The Singapore-based logistics company said its Indeco Engineers Pte unit won a contract to construct a warehouse and office building in Singapore for AIMS AMP Capital Industrial REIT (AAREIT SP). Upon completion of the project, which will entail investment of about $135, CWT will lease the property from AIMS AMP Capital, it said. CWT gained 1.2% to $1.31. AIMS AMP Capital was unchanged at 22 cents.

Osim International (OSIM SP), Asia’s biggest maker of massage chairs outside of Japan said second-quarter net income increased to $18.8 million from $12.1 million a year earlier. Osim was unchanged at $1.55.

SATS (SATS SP): The ground-handling-services provider partly owned by Temasek Holdings Pte said first-quarter net income dropped 4.1% from a year earlier to $42.5 million. SATS was unchanged at $2.58.

SIA Engineering Co.
(SIE SP): The aircraft maintenance unit of Singapore Airlines Ltd. (SIA SP) said first-quarter net income fell to $68.1 million from $70.8 million a year earlier. SIA Engineering declined 5.2% to $4.16.

Singapore Technologies Engineering (STE SP): Asia’s biggest aircraft maintenance company said its ST Aerospace unit won about $260 million of contracts in the second quarter. The stock fell 1% to $3.02.

Tiger Airways Holdings (TGR SP): The budget carrier partly owned by Singapore Airlines (SIA SP) said it will increase its fleet by six aircraft to 20 Airbus A320s from March 2012. Tiger Air lost 0.4% to $1.18.
