Koon Holdings, the infrastructure construction and precast specialist, says it has secured a new infrastructure contract worth S$37.9 million in relation to the construction of Seletar Link and the widening of Tampines Expressway.
The infrastructure construction contract was awarded by HDB to the group’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Koon Construction and Transport Co. Pte Ltd. Work is scheduled to commence in August 2011 and is targeted to complete in February 2013.
The construction of Seletar Link will create a new vehicular bridge linkage between TPE and the Construction Industries Park (CIP) located at Pulau Punggol Timor, a reclaimed island one-third the size of Sentosa. The entire project comprises of three construction phases: a vehicular bridge linking Pulau Punggol Timor to Singapore; a road system from the vehicular bridge to TPE and two-way slip roads linking to the TPE; and widening of the bridge across Sungei Punggol.
With this contract, Koon’s construction order book (excluding the precast division) npw stands at $90.4 million.
