Singapore stocks may gain on stimulus hopes.
Singapore share prices ended mixed on Friday. The blue-chip Straits Times Index (STI) fell 0.2% or 6.08 points to close the day at 2,998.49. But in the broader market, gainers edged out losers 184 to 171. A total of 1.24 billion shares changed hands.

SMRT’s earnings for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012 rose 4.7% to $36.5 million despite being weighed down by higher staff and maintenance costs, as well as fees related to its December train breakdowns.
Tiger Airways Holdings on Friday reported a narrower loss of $13.71 million, or $1.67 per share, for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2012. A year ago, the low-fare airline posted a loss of $20.58 million, or $3.57 per share.
Singapore Exchange on Friday announced that its earnings for the fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30, 2012 fell to $61.1 million from $79.5 million a year ago.
Broadway Industrial Group, the manufacturer of precision-machined components and engineered foam plastic solutions provider, said it posted earnings of $5.8 million for the three months ended 30 June 2012 (2Q2012), a 55% increase from a year ago (2Q2011).
Noble Group said on Friday it had concluded a US$500 million two-year committed revolving letter of credit and guarantee facility. A total of 19 banks committed to participate in the facility, Noble said.
CapitaMalls Asia said it had acquired Olinas Mall in Tokyo for 22.8 billion yen ($362 million) from Tiger Eye Realty Yugen Kaisha, a special purpose vehicle of a real estate investment fund managed by Invesco Global Real Estate Asia Pacific, Inc.
